All credit to Apple and UPS who have returned my new/replaced/refurbished iPod in a tad over a week. Apart from a few worrying moments during the charge it up > upgrade iTunes > upgrade iPod > reload songs process, all seems to be fine and the iPod is nice and shiny again.
I’m off to listen to The Sophtware Slump…wierd but utterly wonderful.
